Important documents... - January 31, 2006
Thank you for an important contribution to not only Puerto Ricans, but to all those living in the Americas. By exposing the truth Puerto Ricans can reflect on the past to heal the politicals wounds and divisions American intervention in insular affairs has caused. The U.S. must show the nations of the Americas that it can regain their trust and respect again if they help, yet not meddle, in the island's distinct culture and history. The saying goes "the truth shall set you free," and I hope that the release of these important documents will allow Puerto Rico to help redefine her relationship with not only the U.S. but with her sister nations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Bravo for a job well done!

My father was a Puerto Rican Nationalist... - January 5, 2006
I am very grateful for your effort, and want to thank you. My father was a Puerto Rican Nationalist and he was haunted for most of his life by the FBI.
Thank you for your comments.
Finally... - December 23, 2005
Finally a site where the truth is revealed as to how the FBI track our leaders and how they categorized PR citizens and organizations that supported the believe that PR like any other nation has a right to be Independent & self govern. My most sincere Thank you to Congressman Serrano and to the Center for finally bringing to light what we all knew for decades and what both the Island government and the Federal Government would never admit. Kudos and may GOD bless your souls.
Thank you for your comments.
Visitor from Puerto Rico... - March 5, 2005
I want to congratulate you on this magnificent and daunting task your organization has undertaken. It gives scholars, humanists, and the average person a unique perspective about the relationship between Puerto Rico and the most powerful law enforcement organization in the world.
Thank you. We expect to make some changes and updates to the website within the next few months. We will also be adding some new files (COINTELPRO) to the section on Programs.
The website... - December 20, 2004
I would like to join the many that have already thanked you for this web site. I have spent years researching the lives of the brave men and women that have fought for Puerto Rico's independence and who, until very recently, were known only as terrorists.Luckily I have a family that taught me there was more to their actions than wanting to terrorize the citizens of Puerto Rico, or the United States for that matter. The information you have made public on this web site will ensure that people will have access to a more complete picture of the independence movement in the last century.
Thank you for your comments.
Requesting FBI records... - December 5, 2004
Realmente es maravilloso el trabajo que han hecho. Los exhorto a que continuen con esta gran labor. Existe algun medio o forma en que pueda saber si el FBI posee un record de mi persona?
Gracias por sus comentarios. In order to know if you have an FBI file, you need to submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request directly to that agency. For more information, go to our section Research Tools and see the links titled "Your Right To Federal Records" and "Using the Freedom of Information Act."
Corretjer & Liga Socialista? - October 31, 2004
Congratulations for this website and for your valuable effort. Do you have a file on Puerto Rican poet Juan Antonio Corretjer, La Liga Socialista Puertorriqueña, and it's members. Thank you.
We have only received files on two individuals, Pedro Albizu Campos and Luis Muñoz Marín, but files on several organizations have also been released. We do have a copy of the file that the FBI kept on Liga Socialista Puertorriqueña during the 1960s and 1970s and it is included in the first batch to be added in the next months to the section on Organizations. Thank you for your comments.
