COINTELPRO (1960-1971?)
In response to the Serrano Initiative, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released documents on one specific program that affected Puerto Rican organizations and individuals in the 1960s and 1970s. This program was devised by the FBI as part of the larger set of secret operations under the code name COINTELPRO (Counter Intelligence Program).
